:fella: Journal
Now, it's been kinda dead here for the last weeks, so I thought I'd ask you about what you want. What do you want? :)
And, is there anybody out there who want to write a little review/"my thoughts", like the one further down? (HVL-F56AM external flash) :)

If you want to say anything about a product you've tried or own, send us a note, and we'll give you a go at this the next time we update the journal! ^^ This is not supposed to be a professional announcement or reviwe, it's just some few words, making co-Alpha-shooters aware of the product and it's advantages/disadvantage :)

:fella: :pointr: HVL-F56AM external flash, by 41010

When I bought my first DSLR, the Alpha 100, I though "wtf? External flash? I don't need that!", couldn't be more wrong...

Having a simple external flash like the HVL-F56AM is great! Its way better than our built-in flash, you’re able to play with the shadows, since its wireless and we don't get the annoying shadow from the sunshade-thing.

If you haven’t tried it you might think “how and what do I do if I’m shooting with my lens on 18mm VS 70mm, e.g., do I have to change something to get the right light?” Nopes, the thing thinks itself, and by reading some fancy information, it knows whether you’re at 18 or 70mm, and reduce/increases whatever it has to reduce/increase to get a perfect shot.

I also mentioned that the flash is wireless, and this is true, however, I don’t know how far away it stays wireless, but I’ve manage to have it 10 meters away from my camera when shooting, and it went off, and I really don’t think you need more then that anyway
You’re also able to shoot with both your built-in flash and the external, if wanted, and that’s always fun :)

In some cases, the flash is a bit strong, usually at 18mm, and if you have that problem, you can A) increase/reduce the angle of the flash, 45-90° or B) you can reduce the light through the menu.

So, conclusion: A must have item! You’ll see that photographing with this by your side, or on your camera, for that matter, is something totally different!

If you do have any questions or something along that line, I’ll try my best to answer them!

Even though 26 of you claimed to be excited about this, we only had four submittions from two persons. A bit disappointing, maybe, but the winning shot is both great and obvious:

You'll get a three moths subscription very soon! ^^

This is the same as in the previous journal

:fella: Stamps
As you might have noticed, we uploaded two “Sony Alpha Club” stamps today (which you are more than welcome to use), and we just wanted to inform you all that we’ll also upload your stamps. So if you have a Sony Alpha-stamp of some sort, that other Alphaers could use, you’re very welcome to submit it ^^

:fella: Co-journalist
As  you also might have noticed, some journals ago (and still showing), we had a lil “review” about the HVL-F56AM external flash, where we encouraged you to write some words that we could post in our journal. The response hasn’t been overwhelming in any way (), but we really hope that one of you will throw yourself in it, and perhaps break the ice for the rest of the members.
You want us to be a bit more specific about what we want, you said? Oh, sure: Your personal opinion and perhaps some technical specifications (of importance) around a lens, a filter, a flash, a memory card or whatever you want, and that’s pretty much it :)
So, feel totally free to be our co-journalist! ^^

We’ve been thinking about a New Years Eve-contest, where the theme is pretty much anything New Year-related, but this depends on how you feel about it, so if you’re positive to this, please say some words about it down below :)
Prizes, you said? Well, a feature here and there, of course, and we’ll see if we can dig up a subscription as well :)

:fella: Journal
So, It's Christmas, and 2009 is right around the corner, and we would like to thank you, people of Sony Alpha, for joining us, and making the club a club, and not another dead account ^^ Thanks a lot!
We haven't been around for a year yet, but we will, and in about a year, we'll be happy to write a similar journal, to an even larger crowd!

This club is built by your wishes, and our wish to make this a club ruled by its members, while we, Kvekke and I, 41010, are "tools", making your wishes come true (and sometimes making them not come true ), however, this month is The wish-month, so if you should have any suggestion, especially those who we would normally be negative to, concerning your club, write us! ^^

Now, even though we might miss somebody because of time-difference, have a great Christmas, and a wonderful New Year!
